Pipe Details

If there are pipes or outlets that penetrate through the liner, it is essential that the pond liner is sealed correctly. For rubber pond liners, the simplest method is to cut a hole in the liner, usually 50% of the diameter of the pipe and the liner is stretched over the pipe. The pond liner can then be clamped in place and sealed using specialist tapes such as Firestone QuickSeam FormFlash.

As an alternative, a mechanical flange can be used where the pond liner is clamped between the two parts of the flange. A specialist water block sealant provides added protection against leaks.

Quick Seam Pipe Flashing AccessoryIn certain situations an actual pipe sleeve may need to be used. In the case of Firestone, this would be created on-site, whereas for EPDM / Butyl we can prefabricate pipe sleeves in our factory to the specific diameter of the pipe.
