Pipe Details

If there are pipes or outlets that penetrate through the lake liner, it is essential that it is sealed correctly. For rubber pond liners, the simplest method is to cut a hole in the liner, usually 50% of the diameter of the pipe and then stretch the liner over the pipe. The lake liner can then be clamped in place and sealed using specialist tapes such as Firestone QuickSeam FormFlash.

As an alternative, a mechanical flange can be used where the lake liner is clamped between the two parts of the flange. A specialist water block sealant provides added protection against leaks.

 Quick Seam Pipe Flashing

In certain situations a prefabricated pipe sleeve may need to be used. With Firestone, this would done using a QuickSeam pipe flashing, cut to size and installed on-site. For EPDM we can prefabricate pipe sleeves in our factory to the specific diameter of the pipe. Please contact us for more information.
