A drainage system is often advisable with irrigation lagoons. In certain ground situations fluids such as water or gas can become trapped under the liner. Over a period of time, these can cause damage to the liner itself and this is where we recommend a drainage system of porous pipes laid in a sand bed or other permeable layer.

Where applicable, it is highly recommended that the ground conditions are checked at an early stage before liner installation and, if appropriate, a drainage system should be incorporated into the overall design of the lagoon.
